Wear And Corrosion Resistant Material

The same properties that make Crobalt® an excellent cutting tool material also make it an effective wear- and corrosion-resistant material. Crobalt®performs well at room temperature. However, in industries such as the pulp and paper industry, where high operating temperatures are encountered, it is extremely effective.

A change in casting technique and/or composition provide a material with properties ideally suited for applications such as wire drawing dies, guides, mandrels, seals, scarfing tools, punches, sleeves, valves, etc. Almost any conceivable shape or size that can be cast can be provided. Some common or typical drawing die sizes are 1/2" to 4"
O.D., with wall thicknesses of 3/8" to 3/4".We invite your inquiry and would be happy to discuss application advisability. Send a blueprint, sketch or samples for a quotation with no obligation on your part.
